❤️ A Season of Change - Art Journal Page

A rare thing it is for me to post other than a Wednesday 💕 especially these last few months  ... but this art journal page I feel deserves a post all off its own 😊 

This journal page, believe it or not ...  brought the sweetest, purest feeling of ... JOY my way ... as I created into the wee hours a few weeks ago 

✏️ Stabilo pencil in hand 🎨 a few paints 📖 old books ✂️ scissors to snip out words ...

🌿  little flowers safely tucked in with a scrap of ribbon ...

🕰 into the wee hours I sat, the struggle was real as I fought my way through to the place that brings me ... peace ... a place so filled with light 💛 I can feel my ⭐️ Dad close, guiding me onwards ... it's been toooo long since I spent time in that special place 💛 with the music playing low in the background ⭐️ with the scratch of my pencil ✏️ journaling over the top to finish.

Words rolled out my head 💕 one after another 💕 as I sat and looked at her  ✏️

The fog comes

Mist on my face

Surrounding me

Head jumbled

Nothing makes sense

Words only just spoken

Already forgotten

Who am I

Where are you

The pieces of me

Where have you gone

Round and round

Swirling

Burling

Searching for the light

Ever listening

Whispers, whispers

They say

It's going to be alright! 

💛 For those going through this season of change, for those who already have 💛 hold onto the words that were whispered and flowed ...

" It's going to be alright "

⭐️ A few moments in time ⏳️ I will cherish as I lost myself to that special place 💕 forever grateful 🙏

I've been a bit poorly since last week ... I'm on a second round of antibiotics 🤞 fingers crossed they do the trick ... I'm the worst if I'm ill 🤪 ask Alex 🤦

Sooo I have very little to share with yooou this week as my desk hasn't seen much work going on 🤷‍♀️ this is my desk as I left it ( I'm messy)

I had been playing around with my supplies before I went downhill ...

This has a GAZZILION layers on it ... so much so ... that it almost has the feel of FABRIC 🙃 it's not PRETTY to me BUT it makes me HAPPY.

Did I mention ... LAYERS ... so many ... one upon the other ... that I could scrape the paint away ... to reveal a little boat ⛵️ in the mist.

This corner right here ... makes me SMILE

If you know me 😊 then you know my love for 💗's along with words, lots of words ✏️ it wouldn't be me without them. 

It took me back to being a bairn 

( that's me 😊) 

⭐️ just sploshing, splashing, splodging paint 🎨 using fingers 🖐 stencils, crayons, charcoal, paint pens, woody's ✏️ smooching 🖌 adding random scraps of papers.

I kinda LIKE it 🙃 It's went through so much already 🖌 on it's JOURNEY ... from pea green 💚 to multiple COLOURS of the rainbow 🌈 SCRATCHING, SCRAWLING so many WORDS underneath that you can't see 👀 Each LAYER at times looking a HOT MESS ... at others ... I LOVED ... but forcing myself to splosh over those LAYERS, to not care ... to be FREE ... no JUDGEMENTS ... no one WATCHING 👀LEARNING not to be AFRAID to MESS UP and LET it GO ... to have FUN ... to LEARN ... I may have started to GRIN 😁 like a LOON half way through ... It didn't matter if I didn't LIKE it OR LOVE it ... I was learning about what I DO and DON'T  like ... PLUS it's only a bit of PAPER I remind myself.

🎨 I might add to it OR chop ✂️ it up to use between the pages of a handmade Junk Journal.

 🙏Thank you to Louise Fletcher's Taster Workshop ...  I'm exploring more ... having FUN ... finding out more about ME along the way.

💕 I'm so sorry I didn't manage around all the gorgeous desks last week 🙏 Looking forward to catching up with you all this week 🥰

Sooo here's my desk 🤦‍♀️ laughing here ... as you can see the tidy desk didn't last 😁🙃🤪

What can I say except 😊 being surrounded by all the supplies on my desk has definitely got me INSPIRED 😘 this was the aftermath 🤸

I took this photo yesterday 🙃 before I went back into it adding layers ...  the aftermath of adding more to this ⬆️ is my desk shot this morning 😁 It's made me REALISE just how much I've MISSED being surrounded by my 🎨✏️🖍🖌 STASH ...

... to have them in easy reach has made such a difference 🤸 taking me back to how I used to create 🎨 and not worry. 

💕 Yesterday I took time to create a video 📹  pushing myself out my COMFORT ZONE 😊 to share one of the ways I create backgrounds for my wee Junk Journals 📚 for the 💙 beautiful ladies across in my Facebook group. 

 Since the hormones have started causing HAVOC I find myself ... 

💙UNSURE 💙ANXIOUS💙 not as CONFIDENT💙 amongst a multitude of other emotions ... even down to writing my blog posts and on Social Media!

So I'm FIGHTING back 💕 every SINGLE day 💕  no matter how I'm FEELING 💕 

To SHOW up at my DESK 💕 to have HOPE 💕 to CREATE 💕 to be FREE 💕 DOING it for ME. 

💕 The words up above in the photo ... a gentle REMINDER 💕 hope and fear set free. 

Once I FINISHED recording 🎥 I just let myself GO ... adding more layers  to the back and front of the paper 🎨 until I FOUND myself SMILING 😃  LAUGHING 😄 SINGING 🎶 no plan in my head 🙃 just PLAYING UNTIL I FOUND my JOY ⭐️

I'd jist been talkin tae my Wee 😇🐭 Anes aboot buildin a ROCKET 🚀 tae tak us tae the moon 🌙 IMAGINE my JOY at finding one among the layers 🥰 This whole page front and back REMINDS me of the PLACE I go 💕 WHEN I TRUST and LET GO ... the PLACE WHERE my Wee Anes come fae, the PLACE where I can FEEL my DAD ⭐️ so close.

 My eyes 👀 most definitely held a TWINKLE by the end along with the paintiest 🎨 of hands 😘

with a warm HEART ❤️ and my SOUL singing🎶

😅😆😁 Yoooou fell over didn't yoooou ... didn't you 🙃 it's as tidy as my desk can get 😁

They're perfect for holding long forgotten supplies 🌈 all colours of the rainbow 💙 and more 🧡 I have 5 of them on my desk.

Toooo the pottery jug I made from scratch and fired.

Why am I surrounding myself with colour?

Thank yooou to the lovely BJ 💟 I'm doing a free taster workshop with Louise Fletcher ... I'm totally out of my comfort zone 🙃 never done anything like the photo below ⬇️ I've taken over the kitchen bunker as it's been messy 🎨 my carpet wouldn't be happy if I sploshed paint on it 🙃

It's been full of emotions, trying new things, pushing past feeling tense,uncomfortable, not worrying about the end results and at times I've wanted to ... hide 🙃😊

Especially with lesson 2 ⬆️ I procrastinated for a bit ... I really did 🤦‍♀️ no brushes, no pencil ... 

I used a palette knife, a pottery tool, my fingers along with charcoal 🤸 and oil pastels ... scribbles lots of scribbles, smudging, playing, learning ... this one was at the very beginning ⬇️

I could feel myself loosening up with the marks I made ... as I reminded myself it's only paper! 

Being brave 🌈  with colour ... getting my hands messy 🤸 not caring how she turned out ... this was playing 😉

Not looking for perfection ... not worrying if others would like it ... my only thoughts were ...  " what did I learn in the process "

The answer ... lots 😘  plus it's made me feel ... alive with the butterflies in my tummy fluttering, waking up to work there magic as I create. I have a bit of catching up to do ... colour swatching  along with another lesson so watch this space ☺️

💙  I'm away early to spend the day at Mum's 🤸so it might be this evening before I get around to visiting the desks today, but I'll catch you later🥰
