πŸ’™ Craft Stamper Take it Make it Challenge . . . Stamping on tissue paper

Whoops a daisy, apologies for my post that went live earlier without ... text!
Our little border terrier Rosie, took seriously ill yesterday and we were all frantic . . . So happy to report that after pain relief and antibiotic injections she is on the way to recovery.
So.... here is the post that was planned to go live today!
So happy to share with you all the new challenge over at
for
 September
and the technique is
Stamping onto tissue paper is a fabulous way of getting a perfect image onto a surface that would normally be tricky to stamp onto, a curved surface for example. Or, if you would rather, simply use tissue as a regular stamping surface, in order to give a different texture to your art!
Time to take on the challenge, my first time using this technique.
Outside in the garden I had a hunk of wood just laying around with a slight curve in the middle, time to grab some tissue, Acrylic white paint, Pan Pastels, Gel Medium and my newest stamp . . . I loove her, lol.
I love the look of the weathered wood and didn`t want to lose that totally, so a smear of paint was applied with my fingers first.
Time to ink her up with an Archival ink pad, stamped onto tissue paper found in a shoebox.
Mixing a little Pan Pastels with Acrylic White paint to colour on the back of the image, turning it over and checking as I go along. As I applied each new colour I finished it with a top coat of white acrylic paint.
After much painting on the back of the image it was time to pop it on the wood, a generous amount of Matt Gel  on both surfaces was applied. . .
. . . before adding more paint on the top of the wood and image, along with a little doodling and a sprinkling of watered down coffee to soften all the white on the wood plus add a warm tone to the wood itself.

Be sure and hop on over to the blog too see what beautiful projects the rest of the design team ladies have put together for your inspiration . . . you will not be disappointed!
