WK 4 Premium Craft Brand Challenge

Hello sweet friends, it`s Sunday which means a new challenge is up over at
The theme for you all is . . .
Anything Goes
but the design team have been given the added challenge of using
 Metallic Pan Pastels
 with the theme

I don`t know about you but if you are going to have a celebration then you have got to have . . .
CAKE . . . mmmmmmmmmm
big ones, fat ones, tall ones, skinny ones . . . can you tell I love cake yet?
My project started with a pencil, paper and some doodle doodle doo`s.
Next I mixed up Light Gold, Rich Gold Metallic Pans with some Maimeri Gesso before using it to cover the block of wood for my base colour.
Time to grab some scraps of papers and scissors to start snipping out paper cases and Tiered cakes . . .
see that cake up above, I used the border of a 6x6 sheet of patterned paper that gives you the manufacturer and the collection name . . . I waste nothing, lol!
Fixed in place with some Maimeri Matt Gel.
A little doodle was required to make the cake stand and swishes of Metallic Pans was added with a Sofft Tool and sponge.
 {I may also have used my fingers, grin!}
I adore the little paper cases, they make me Happppeeeee.
Once fixed in place I added a pencil outline for the frosting, mixed up a cocktail of -
Maimeri Gesso
a snitch of Copper Metallic Pan Pastel
sprinkling of Bronze Metallic Pan Pastel
and a
dash of Light Gold Metallic Pan Pastel
believe me when I looked good enough to eat!
I applied the mixture with a brush, popping plenty on, heating with a heat tool to give it some bubbles for added texture.
All that was left to do was add . . .
a little bunting
a swish of Metallic`s with a sponge - I used them all,lol.
splatters of Metallic`s with a fine brush
and
a little more doodle doodle doo`s to finish.

I hope you enjoyed my post today and please hop on over to the blog for more inspiration from the wonderful design team and check out the challenge for yourself.
