πŸ’™ Mixed Up Media Chix Summertime Blog Hop

πŸ’™
Hi everyone, welcome to the Mixed Up Media Chix Summertime blog Hop.
If you arrived here from the very talented Rebecca`s blog then you are on the right path. If you have popped over for a visit and want to join in . . . then hop on over to Maria`s to set you on your way HERE.

πŸ’™
Come sail away with me . . . into my very old and aged book dating back to 1944 called
" Highland Journey "
what better way to start a journal, here in my part of Scotland.
❤️ If you know me then you know I adore using old books to journal in . . . this one was given to me by Alex`s Gran and the texture of the paper is deeelish ...it soaks up whatever you throw at it . . . Bliss!
πŸ’™ I love adding texture ... so I stamped the boat a 2nd time, did a little fussy cutting, added embossing powders with glitter for a little sparkle to finish.
How cute is that boat I ask you and have you seen that big juicy sun . . . loooove and they are a joy to stamp with.
πŸ’™ Throughout the book I want to have a reference on what I have used to create each entry, so on the left will be a list of materials like the picture above. . . simple but it makes me so very happeee!
❤️ I have to apologise for no step by step and confess - Sooo yesterday I planned to get my journal pages done and pictured, but work first, cleaning the house followed by a trip to our allotment to see to our veg . . . when a friendly face appeared at the plot along with a deelish bottle of red wine . . . well I did have a cup . . . it was yummy . . .a few hmmmm hours later and it was 10.30pm...shriek, horror  . . . quick drive home and out to my shed for a quick splodge and splatter of paint, stamping, coloring, chopping and glueing  . . . so I am sure you get the idea - no time to stop and take pictures, lol.
❤️Anyhooo, your next stop along the way is the lovely Tameko

πŸ’™ Just click HERE to hop along.

❤️ I will be linking my journal to
Friends With Flair over on the Unity Stamp Co. Blog later today . . . it`s a great way to make friends, be inspired along the way plus Angela also does a giveaway. . . all you have to do is include some gorgeous Unity Stamps to join in.
Click HERE to find out more.
Thank you Unity for my prize package of stamps, woohoooo!!!

❤️
Thank you for looking and have a great weekend.
 Big hugs
xoxoxo

Oh Tracy! This, as usual, is simply DELISH! And I LOVE the idea you have to provide a legend of your materials. That is BRILLIANT (because when I've been asked what I used on something...I can almost NEVER remember.)

And I'm glad you ran into your friend and relaxed. What a wonderful way to spend your evening (and I can so relate to starting a project at 10:30 :) ) Anyway, have a fab weekend.

Beautiful. Don't apologize about not having pictures of the step-by-step. The glass of wine is always worth it.

Pretty artwork, as always. This is a nice sailing theme. I like how you place the words separately. Sure makes them stand out. :)
