Moving Home into a posh box ...

 Good morning, Debbie here it's my turn to share what I've been playing with. 

The Design Team Girls have been sharing many fabulous projects and it's lovely to see all of the posts,makes and swaps on Friends of Tracy Easson Illustrations on Facebook and Instagram. There's so much inspiration and many talented people their.

I love storage and have plenty of it all around the house. My collection of Tracy's stamps had out grown the box they were in, not to say of all the antics going on in it. So I decided they deserved a new home.

I started by painting the wooden box with my favourite green and used a stencil for the white dots.

When the paints were completely dry I stamped 'Flooooobert' with grey ink.

I didn't want the dark lines as I wanted to add darker lines when the painting was finished.

I used Decoart paints Titan Buff and Burnt Sienna - fur, Cadmium Red - jacket, Cobalt Teal - Trousers, Green Gold - patches and Primary Yellow - stars.

A tip that I've picked up for adding the details is to use the stamp carrier and lay it over to show where the lines are drawn. For Flooooobert's stars and buttons I used yellow and white Posca pen.

I drew the lines with a fine liner pen.

For the finishing touches I drew around Flooooobert and the dots with a Inktense Derwent Pencil and blended with a water colour brush.

I'm sure it will be a little quieter on my desk from now on as the mice and girls have more space to live.

The Chieftain will be taking command, you can see him peeping over the top.
