Hello sweet friends, Sunday again which means a brand new challenge over at
and the theme for you all is
Anything Goes
but the design team was given the added challenge of using
I had a look around my shed and gathered some supplies -
A very old tin frame { gift }
leftover cotton fabric
Barok Stencil
Pan Pastels - Hansa Yellow Shade, Permanent Red
Maimeri Gesso, Matt Gel
thread, old book pages
A quick coat of Gesso was applied and to speed up drying time I used a heat tool.
I am ever sooo impatient!
Time to apply the Pan Pastels through the stencil with a blending brush,
I alternated the colours from side to side, not worrying if the colours blended slightly together.
A quick mist of cheap hairspray was added to fix the PP`s in place.
I love old books and forever finding snippets to chop out and use on my projects.
I have used Maimeri Matt Gel to fix the words in place.
At this point I thought I was finished and popped it into that beautiful frame
BUT
oh noooo it was missing something, lol
Yes indeed , it needed some wonky tonky stitching in a matching thread.
No straight lines and I love the loose threads scattered around.
Back it went into the frame and I was now happy!
I think I might transfer this idea onto cards for someone special . . . what do you think?
Well that`s all from me for now, be sure check out the challenge blog for all the details and more inspiration HERE.
Till next time
Happy Crafting
XOXOXO
