I hope you get the chance to hop on over and join in with us all, plus you have the chance of winning a FABULOUS PRIZE!!!
π
Ooooooh, I have had a ball creating with the Maimeri Mediums and Pan Pastels in my old worn book that I use to journal in . . .
. . . and it all started with a little doodle doodle dooing, my girl dancing in the puddles!
π After the doodling, I snipped all the parts out, colored with Pan Pastels using the soft Knife and cover, then added a little more doodle doodle doo`s before applying a touch of Iredescent Paste to the umbrella for that pearly glow . . . I adore Maimerie Iredescent paste and not sure how I have managed without it!!!
✨️ Before fixing my dancing girl to the page with Maimeri Matt Medium I started to play with my background . .
a quick splodge of Maimeri Gesso first, spread around with my hands . . .
{ you can use a brush but I love the roughness I achieve by working it in by hand }
. . . around the edges I used a soft sponge and applied
Phthalo Blue Shade, Light Grey Shade,Black
{ I used a fixative between colors, but you can use hairspray as well }
The runs and splatters are applied by using a touch of Gesso mixed with a light dusting of Phthalo Blue Shade, add a little water and apply to the top edges of the journal and letting it run, before dabbing with some paper towel and drying with a heat tool.
π The polka dots was achieved by applying a little Iredescent Paste through a mask on the background . . .
the mask was then placed over the umbrella, applying Magenta Extra Dark Pan Pastel through the mask ... before applying a little Iredescent Paste over it for that beautiful pearly finish!
Fix the dancing girl to the page using Maimeri Matt Medium and add a little more doodle doo`s.
π
Time to make the puddles!!
I used the Iredescent Paste and applied it with my fingers and a palette knife, rubbing a few colors of Pan Pastels over the top in . . .
Phthalo Blue Shade, Neutral Grey Shade and Titanium white . . .
before adding little splats with Maimeri Gloss Gel Medium.
π Well I couldn`t stop at one page could I, lol!
I applied the same techniques as before, only this time using a Characters stencil Mask up in the left hand corner along with touches of the new Metallic Pan Pastels . . . another new looove of mine.
To finish . . .
some Remnant Rubs
a little quote
some more doodle doo`s
and my
pretty dancing stockinged lady, splashing and dancing in the puddles was done!!

Tracy this is delightful. From the colours to the remarkable textures you have achieved you can just imagine the delight of your subjects as she skips and plays in those puddles. The raised umbrella works a treat too.
