Hi everyone, I`m sooo excited to be sharing a journal page that I created for Susan K Weckesser over on
My Sweet Earth blog today
using the
from the
π
So
I was sitting in my shed thinking about my youngest, who has just moved
to the big City to live, to attend University when I SPIED this stamp
and my brain started to tick, tick, tick . . . .
. . . it`s as if it was just sitting waiting on this day to arrive!
π
Out came my old second hand book, a few paints and Distress Stains and I was off . . .
. . . okay I admit I got carried away so no step by steps, but it is soooo easy to re create!
Just ink up the stamp with an Archival ink pad, stamp straight onto your chosen journal and again on a loose sheet of paper.
π I used a mixture of watercolors and Distress Stains to color the background and images before splattering with a little water and Distress Stains.
❤️ To add a little dimension I snipped out a few buildings from the extra sheet, before fixing in place with foam pads.

Now if you know me, you will know by now I looove to scribble and doodle doodle dooo
. . .soooo . . .
π . . . out with a fine black liner pen and away I went adding a little along the way.

Tracy, your Windy City project is gorgeous!
It's simply enchanting, Tracy. Love the watercolouring, and the splattery distressing - just wonderful. Would so love to see this little album in real life, with its record of what you've used on each page. I've always got excited about paint sample cards, and so on - so it's definitely my kind of thing!

Wow, this is great. I love the stamp you used. I'll have to get this set, I love the sentiment.
It is always wonderful to consider where our art making desire springs from Tracy. Your journal page with your new stamps- lucky ducky is wonderful!
