Friends With Flair . . .

Woohoo ... it`s Friday ... which means that it`s time for
over on the
Be sure to head on over to see the
. . . swooon . . .
 and
check out all the other projects full of inspiration galore HERE!!!
My project today is a . . .
. . . just because I wanted to one . . .
no design team project ... just me playing with off cuts of wood from a friend at the allotment who gifted me them
  lucky, lucky me!!
I gathered ...  some yummy supplies starting with ... a favourite stamp of mine from
A quick splodge of Picket Fence Distress paint was applied  ... smooching and smudging it around with my hand.
Time to ink up that gorrrgeous stamp and get coloring ...  with some Distress Stains ... followed by some doodles and squiggles with a ...  fine black liner pen.
I have to tell you ...  how much I am in looove with rub ons ... they are so easy to chop up and apply to anything!
The top of her skirt is a rub on . . . sooo pretty.
I made a wee hole in the side of the wood to attach one of ...
Tim Holtz`s Idea-ology clock keys . . . just because I had one lying on my work area, lol!
Out came my Walnut Stain Ink Pad and blending tool ... to apply all around the edges for a more aged look.
A quick run round with a clear embossing pad, a dusting of embossing powder and a blast with my trusty Heat Tool ... and I was done.
Thank you all so much for taking the time to look.
Till next time
Hugs

This project is stunning. I have that stamp and have not played with it yet. I really want to do a mixed media project but have not had the courage to do it yet. I need time just to play with it.

Tracy,
You are soooooo creative. Luv this project! I always shy away from rub-ons, because I have had problems getting the entire image to transfer. They are convenient.

Absolutely brilliant, Tracy. I love the rustic look of the wood, the beautiful muted colour palette, and the fabulous rub-on detailing. I got this stamp in the recent Unity sale, and I'm ashamed to say I haven't even inked her up yet.. thank you for the nudge!
