Hello everyone, Kim here and I am so excited to share my 2nd DT post.
This project is called 'Family'
I have used ...
Morty and Margareeet Bottoms and last but not least Lallianna Twinkle Toes ... phew that`s nearly the whole family x
I created the background using the wet on wet technique.
I wet the water colour card then applied the water colours on top, then left to dry.
When dry I splattered the same colour {less watered down } onto the background and left to dry.
I then went round the edges with the stitch maker and a fine liner pen to make faux stitching.
The background card measures 27cm x 15cm. I then matted it onto some black card that was 1/2cm larger.
I used a square frames die to cut out the picture mat:
4 Squares : 6 x 5 1/2cm
&
1Square : 4 1/2cms sq
I coloured the frame black and for Just a Girl I used an oval frame.
I added 2 die cut bull dog clips to the top so it can be hung up, but you could use real bull dog clips.
I stamped the Chieftain, Whispering Sweet Nothings, Morty and Margareeet Bottoms and Lallianna
{ top halves only } on to the larger squares.
I stamped Little Flooooobert onto the small square, and Just a Girl onto an oval piece of card.
I coloured the family with water colours, added some faux stitching
and some doodling.
I put just a girl in her frame, added some gold
paint to bring out the detail and also to the bulldog clips and around all the edges.
Finally I added the words using an alphabet die and stamped some stars. I also used a white pen and a glitter pen.
I hope you like it.
Thank you for taking the time to look and make a comment.
