πŸ’• WK 45 Pan Pastel UK Challenge - Altered Media

Hello sweet friends, another week has come and gone and it`s time for this weeks
and
the theme is . . .

Anything Goes and/or Altered Media

but before I get to my project, set your alarm for todays show on . . .

Create and Craft TV Sunday 10th November at 2pm

Join Nikky with an hour of techniques and inspiration using all our lovely products including masks, stencils, pan pastels, mediums and a few new goodies too which we know you'll LOVE!
If you don't know Create and Craft it is the UK's dedicated 24 hour Craft channel with live shows between 8 and 6pm each day (Sky 671, also on Freeview and you can watch online at www.createandcraft.tv)  If you have any questions you can email into the studio and ask Nikky and also go in the spotty potty for a chance to win something she makes on the show!
You will not want to miss it!
So the project that I have to share with you all was an old wooden doorstop before I got messy with a mixture of . . .
Pan Pastels, Metallic Pan Pastels, Maimeri Mediums and Gels, Scrap papers and old book pages . . . you know how much I loooove old book pages, lol!
I started with a quick coat of Maimeri Gesso
followed by applying and blending Pan Pastels in . . .
Yellow Ochre, Permanent Red Shade, Bright Yellow Green Shade
{ I use a fixative Spray between colours but you can also use hairspray }
I had a few scraps of paper on my worktop,
soooo I snipped out a house shape and heart, fixed them in place with Maimeri Matt Gel medium and added a few doodle doodle doo`s.
Ohhhhh the words are from an old book, I just search through it till I find the right words for my project.
This is the back of the doorstop  . . . the words are so true, my boys are all grown up and spreading there wings so every minute we are together are precious!!!
Time is so fleeting.
I added touches of Metallic Pan Pastels in Light Gold, Rich Gold and Pewter . . . I wish you could see how this shimmers in real life, the colours are so vibrant and rich . . .
It has been dull, dull, dull here in Scotland the last few days for taking pictures!
A quick coat of Maimeri Glossy Gel Medium with a little Metallic Light Gold Pan Pastel mixed through it to finish.

Be sure and pop by the Premium Craft Brand Challenge site to see the rest of the projects by my lovely team mates

Catch you later
Hugs
