So excited to be doing my first DT post for you.
As we all know, Easter is just around the corner. I have seen
these amazing little cups that will hold Ferrero Rocher or Creme Eggs.
After seeing them, I thought about expanding on the idea and making one to hold a larger egg too.
Please find below the link to the blog page that shows the
construction and measurements for the smaller cup. I have included the
dimensions for the larger cup below, and the construction method is the
same as the mini.
Materials.
Stamps - Soul whispers, Soul Symbols
Design paper scraps of your choice
Watercolour of your choice.
Oxide inks: Peacock Feathers, Pink Raspberry, Fossilised Amber, Wilted Violet
Versafine - Deep Lagoon, Imperial Purple
Sakura white gelly roll pen.
Decorating the Mini Cup.
Use an A4 sheet of 300gsm paper of your choice that is good with holding water. This was sprayed with pixie powders that were diluted in water, to give a speckled effect.
From this a piece was cut 13.5 x 7cm for the cup, scored along the width at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 & 12cm leaving a small section for the tab. It was then scored along the width at 1.5cm top and bottom.
Finally, a piece was cut at 7 x 1.5cm for the handle.
The cup and saucer were stamped using the stamps for Soul whispers. Added to the cup was the fabulous little flooooobert who has been watercoloured. He's looking after the chocolate.
The dimensions for the larger cup are below:
The handle is 7 x 1.5" scored at the top 1" and at the bottom 0.5"
The larger cup was decorated with oxides using the Sentimentally Yours Floraganza stencil, to give a bright spring feel. Xx
The larger cup has been decorated with the stamps from the soul symbols around the top of the cup and around the saucer as well as along the handle.
Lallianna and Seamus complete the look ... they have been stamped on the same 300gsm white card as the cup.
Their clothes have been stamped on the scraps of Design paper and finished off with watercolours.
