What's on my Workdesk Wednesday?682

🌈 πŸ’•πŸ€Έ‍♀️ Goooood Morning πŸ€— it's Wednesday which means it's time for another look at what's on my workdesk πŸ‘€ linking up to the lovely Julia who hosts WOYWW over at the
If you'd like to join in or find out more ... then please hop on over.

Here's a wee look at what's on my work desk this morning 😊 everything's lush outside with the rain 🌧
πŸ’• I've been sploshing and splashing colour around on different kinds of paper 🎨 I'm in the middle of replenishing my stash 😘 My camera tripods still in position ... I've been doing a lot of videos this last week... SOS Journals, projects amongst a few other things ... more to share about that soon 😊
❤ I ran out of badges to pop in with my orders ...  so it was laptop at the ready yesterday ... designing, printing, cutting before popping them together.
πŸ₯°Alex's away to work wearing his favourite 😁

😊 What else ... Well it's been an emotional few weeks in the run up to ⭐ Dad's 4th Anniversary of going next door, it's hit me harder this year. Part of what helps me cope is keeping myself busy  ... I think not being as active due to my back this last while has let my grief swamp me ... but Dad forever shines his light ⭐ messages coming through loud and clear, no mistaking them.
I thought you might like to see a little of a painting I did for my Dad recently ⭐ I still mark dad's birthdays, Christmas and Father's day 😊
🎨 It's started with a stabilo pencil followed by watercolours with fluid acrylics next ... I think I used a few oil pastels as well ... so lost I get in the moments ... without a thought in my head ... just a feeling of love and peace that surrounds me ... as my brush tickles the paper ... my fingers warming and smudging πŸ’› getting covered in colour. Tooo the words ... I searched, reading, looking through an old book ... Dad, Daughter appeared ... but the last word ... so many words I found and tried until dreamlight popped out at me ... butterfly tummy, the knowing it was the ONE ... I'd had a dream about Dad not long before doing this ... this was the word to finish on.
A message for my Dad ⭐ scribbled into her hair  with a white uniball pen .. writing each word knowing Dad could see.
Doodling little flowers, painted in gold 🌼 tooo the bubbles ... bubbles that represent the love, lightness of soul and joy I get inside in those moments, knowing Dad's by my side.
😊 I'll never be able to do justice in trying to explain the feelings that fill me up when I'm lost in those hours ... when all is quiet ... when my brain finally rests ... just breathing ... letting go ... toooo the joy when I put my brushes down ... as I thank my Dad ...  run up the stairs holding tight to what I've done ... waking Alex up in the wee hours going ... look look 😊 I feel blessed πŸ™ in the men in my life ...  to have my Dad and my husband Alex ... both loving, caring and patient with the crazy that makes me me!

πŸ“’πŸ“£ Incase you missed my UPDATE about the shows on Create and Craft it's been swapped from today tooo
⭐Wednesday 13th July⭐
with
πŸ’•πŸ’›πŸ€Έ Let Leonie Loose πŸ€ΈπŸ’›πŸ’•
⭐ YOOOOU most definitely won't want to miss the shows ... from embroidery hoops, to scrapbook layouts, cards, tags, altered boxes toooo so much more 🀩⭐πŸ₯°
πŸ’•πŸ€Έ Yooou are in for a treat πŸ€ΈπŸ’•

Whew, I never intended tooo ramble on 😊
if you're still here ... thank you πŸ’• thank you for holding on πŸ’› to read about the parts of me that make me ... me ... the person I am.

😊 I'm gooooing to go and leave yooou in peace now, thank yoooou so much for stopping by and for all your beautiful words ... each one read and treasured!
Have a gorgeous week ahead in all you do,may it be filled with love, light and much joy.

It wasn't a 'ramble' it was you speaking from the heart and I know how much you miss your dad. Just glad the connection you two had means you still connect even though he is now next door.
Lovely latest drawing and painting and the words are just perfect. Has it got its coat of varnish yet?
Lovely desk, perfectly placed in front of the window so lots of natural light, wish I had the same but my room does not face outwards at all. Still, I love having a dedicated room.
Take care, hold on to your love for your men.
Hugs, Neet 11 xx (slept in this morning)

You are doing good. No rambling to me. Thank you so much for sharing your story and images. It is so nice to hear about others when you are using to work on your own.

What a beautiful view from your desk Tracy, a perfect place to be inspired and create. I love your Dad Daughter painting - you are so blessed to have had such a wonderful relationship with your Dad - it never really gets easier losing a parent does it, but I suppose we learn different ways to cope with life without out our loved one in it. I love that your husband went to work with your badge.
Hope you have a lovely week,
Diana xx 13

Ah Tracey, my dads passing was four years in Aug., I’m grateful he’s now with Lord and will see him again but feel your loss and sorrow, I associate my dad with the ocean as spent much time watching it in younger days as well as his last it was his favourite place with an ice cream or a coffee watching to waves, the birds .. we have such crazy gulls, but love it all!

I went for grey walk today as a very grey day and again till next week, but loved it and saw befor left our blue faced honey eater out jumping around our tea tree.
Love your art so very expressive, beautiful and very apt wording, precious indeed.

Thanks for Sharing, God bless and keep you safe, and all those you love, especially loving prayer hugs, Tracey.

Lovely to hear that you've needed to make more badges to share with your many friends/fans. I too wear mine with prideπŸ₯° You sound like you've got a beautiful relationship with your family. I can see that you share your dad's generous love for life and others. It's great that you don't hide his/your light under a bushel. Take care. Big love & hugs, Sue. xx

Your desk looks like such a wonderful oasis of calm with the garden right outside - I love rain - it always makes nature feel so atmospheric (especially when you have the luxury of staying indoors, but I don't mind getting wet either these days - I just accept it as part of the deal!) What lovely sentiments to accompany your page - truly heartfelt. Wishing you all the best! xx zsuzsa #20

Hi Tracy, sorry to hear your back is still playing up. I think we can all sense the beautiful relationship you had with your dad. I had a similar relationship with my own father who died right at the start of Covid but he was 93 and at the stage where he wasn't always very happy so I've put my mind set in a place that makes me feel that he's now at rest. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x12x

Oh my but your painting for your Dad is wonderful! My dad is still with us, but not, all those miles across the "pond" and with covid, not seen him or my Mom for years. Well, Zoom, but not the same is it? Ah well, Always a treat to visit your gloriously colourful blog space! I agree with Alex - that;s my favourite too :)
Happy WOYWW next-day!

Oh I am so with you about Dad's. Mine left me 24 years ago so it was lovely to read your ponderings and see your paintings, so beautiful and thoughtful.

Had a bit of a day yesterday and thought I'd missed the Leonie shows so really glad they were postponed - Yippee
