πŸ’• What's on your workdesk? Wednesday? 667

πŸ’•πŸ₯°πŸ€Έ‍♀️ Helloooo, happy Wednesday to you πŸ€— I hope you're all safe and well!

✈ Flying by with a quick post  😊 sharing what's on my workdesk, linking up to the lovely Julia who hosts WOYWW over at the
If you want to join in please hop on over, the ladies are all so kind and welcoming ... a place to
share, uplift, and be inspired!
😊 Last week I shared a few pieces I had made with clay ... I am a complete beginner and this is about the fourth thing I`ve had a go at. This little one ☕ has had 2 firings in the kiln and came out yesterday morning.
πŸ€Έ‍♀️πŸ₯°πŸ’•πŸ€Έ‍♀️ I get sooooo exciteeeeed when I lift the kiln lid up ... never knowing what toooo expect ... I'm like a child on πŸŽ„Christmas morning filled with excitement and pure joy 😁 a smile splitting my face, with the sound of my giggles filling the air.
πŸ’• Anything I do always has a heart on it somewhere ... soooo a wee surprise inside, with another on the handle 😘 You can never have toooo many hearts πŸ₯° I stopped taking milk with my tea ... why I hear you ask? Sooooo I could smile at the heart inside as I drink lol ... it really does bring me joy!
πŸ’› With a heart on the outside along with a few more πŸ’• carved into the clay ... I do love how the glaze sunk into them leaving dips and shadow.
This wee one was my second attempt with clay a wee while ago with my love for my Wee 🐭 Ones ... a wee surprise inside a milk jug when people visit πŸ˜‰

I have a loooong way to go but I am loving this journey of discovery and so very grateful πŸ™ in this life I am ... that I can have another dream come true!
πŸ€— Other than that ... I'm still working on my new stamp collection every day ... but nothing as yet that I can share ... though here`s another sneaky πŸ‘€  peek ... I`ve got to beeee really quiet and ... SNEAKY ... so I don`t get CAUGHT ... the Wee 🐭 Ones would pin me to the ground like Gulliver!!!
Alex`s on holiday this week πŸ₯°πŸ’•πŸ€Έ‍♀️(my hubby) sooooo in between drawing ✏ I've also been taking some time out ... long walks, just being together ... best of times it is with the moments treasured!
In a world ever-changing ... I'm holding on tight with both hands to the things that bring the light into my days, chasing away the darkness ... forever grateful for each new day I'm gifted.
🌈 No filters on the photo above ... just the beauty in nature at its best 🌈

πŸ₯° Thank you so much for all the beautiful comments last week and for stopping by ... it truly means a lot ⭐

I'm heading out in a bit, but I promise I will be back to visit you all ... I looooove πŸ’• seeing πŸ‘€ what you're all up to and the treasure on your desks!

πŸ€— Until then be safe and well.
Sending much love, light in the darkness, joy in your day with warm Scottish hugs.
Tracy xxx

  1. I LOVE your ceramics, especially the little surprise at the bottom, made me smile so much. Keep on going, I’ll look forward to seeing what you come up with next! The sneaky peek of the stamps looks interesting, forgive me for asking (I’m a paper craft ignoramus) do you do designs for a company or just for yourself? Love the landscape pic, hope you’re enjoying the free time with your hubby!

    1. Jan 😊 thank you from the heart for your kind words, I'm really loving working with clay.I used to design for a shop and created a range for them but then my Dad passed away suddenly, only the week before he went into hospital we had been talking about me and the changes afoot at my work. My dads words rang in my ear ... telling me I had a gift and I had to use it. After Dad passed I lost my way until I started to get messages from Dad in the strangest of places from next door ... urging me onwards showing me the way, guiding me and so my own brand of stamps was born ... Tracy Easson Illustrations,Just a Girl and Her Imagination... I sell them through my Etsy shop and occasionally on TV ... I finally gave up my job and went full time 2 years past on the 6th March with my Dad forever urging me onwards, guiding me still.
I am loving the time with Alex, escaping for a wee while, slowing down, making the most of our time together. Huge hugs winging your way, have a fabulous week. Tracy xxxxx

  2. Loving your clay creations, for me waiting for the kiln to finish it’s work was fringed with anxiety, in case there were any cracks.
That photograph is amazing, what time of day was it shot? Is that a rainbow? Looks other worldly- great! Happy WOYWW and have a great week. Angela #13

  3. What a pretty cup you have made. I remember being taught how to make handles for cups and jugs and things. (Don't tell anyone but I was the first and only ceramics teacher employed by our local education authority a long long time ago)
I am well impressed by you not only making, but glazing and firing your ware. WEll done Tracy.
How nice that you and Alex have been sharing walking this week, enjoy!

  4. Hi Tracy, I love the little guy hiding in the bottom of the cup. Somewhere I have an old cup with a frog in the bottom which used to be quite popular but yours is much better. I was looking at some of your stamps this week, the lovely bunnies/hares with the Easter and Christmas sentiments, now they must be quite an old set. Have a lovely creative woyww. Hugs, Angela x15x

  5. Afternoon Tracy. I've not been here before - I've been AWOL - so this was a lovely surprise - all those little additions to the cup and the milk jug. Brilliant fun. I look forward to returning to see what else you have been up to out there, up North. Greetings from the North Wales coast.
    Take care. God bless.

  17. Oh WOW, your ceramic/cup looks awesome! My niece is a ceramic artist but I spend too much time on paper (bookbinding, art journaling) to have time to take a workshop at hers.... my mum did and made beautiful cups and vases (i posses a few) Yours are so special too! IT's the nicest thing to sip tea from a self-made cup! Thanks for stopping by my desk yesterday, have a good week dear! Love & peace from the Netherlands! Marit #4
