You are the light

Hello DT Sharon here and my project for today is a card featuring the lovely "Little Blossom" from the Souls bloom & blossom collection.

First of all I stamped her onto my card panel and then made a mask of her and placed it over the stamped image.

Using Oxide inks in spun sugar, picked raspberry and wilted violet I blended a background onto the panel and lightly sprinkled water over it to give it some texture.

I used texture paste through a stencil to make the circle frame around her. Whilst the paste was still wet I used a white sparkle embossing powder over it and heat set it.

Making sure everything was dry I carefully took off the mask.

Next came the colouring of the image. I have used Copics but you could use anything you have. I've also added some highlights with a white pen.

Here you can really see the depth of the texture paste.

For the sentiment I used black card and fine white embossing powder and cut out the words.

To make the panel pop I layered it onto a piece of black card a little bigger than the main image piece. Then added the sentiment along the bottom.

I really love Little Blossom, she's one of my favourites. You can find her here  in the Tracy Easson Illustrations Etsy shop.

We have a lovely, friendly group on Facebook called the Friends of Tracy Easson Illustrations .  We have a monthly challenge and lots of inspiration from the DT and followers for you. You can also show off your lovely projects using Tracy's stamps. We always like to see how you've used your stamps.

Have a lovely week 😊
