π Hellooo everyone, please join me in a welcoming the beautiful soul that is Maria Lawton to the spotlight and show her some love. Her art is created straight from the heart with a story behind every piece.
π I have crafted from a young age, with my Grandma, always loving anything arty. I studied art and teaching at University, but it wasn't until later after teaching and having my family that I returned to art and craft.
I live in Southampton by the sea, which often inspires my work. I often incorporate driftwood in my paintings. I love stamping and particularly love the quirky loveliness of Tracy's world, so incorporating her stamps into my work is a real privilige.
πMy first painting " Good Times " incorporates driftwood, modeling paste and stones, painted in acrylics and of course uses Jamie.
π This pic shows the building up stage.
πMy second project was a canvas made using ...
π The Clans Guardian Angel
π Sharing a closer look at the feather I incorporated. I used rice paper to create the cloud texture and acrylic paint.
π For my third project I used Lallianna ... she is off to see ... The Wizard of Oz. This is painted using watercolour and made into a card.
πFinally, I used lots of Just a Girl and Her Imagination stamps to create bookmarks from wooden blanks.
Thank you so much for joining me today.

ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful work.Thank you for sharing how you started to create these lovely pieces. As someone who never did anything remotely creative after primary school until I was about 50 I am loving learning from the wonderfully talented people like yourself and I am having a happy lockdown experience just playing with paper and paint and ink. I love how you have given Jamie a cycling companion. Such a gorgeous image.
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing your artwork thank you for sharing
