Brave Spirit Never be Afraid to Spread YOUR Wings ...

Hello everyone, Kim here and welcome to my first DT blog post ... ever ... anywhere. I am so happy to be able to share with you my art using Tracy`s wonderful designs.

For this first project I have used "Believe" and "Spread your Wings"

I created the background using Distress Oxides in Raspberry and Wild Honey. I put ink on my mat, added water then laid paper on top "swooshed" it around then lifted paper.
I always like to do a faux stitched line around my work with a stitch marker ... filling in the holes with a black timelines pen.
I also added a stamp to the background, you can use any stamp along with some stencilling for interest.
I always stamp the main image onto the background because I like to do "shadows", it`s easier than trying to do a shadow around the raised image. I then stamp Believe seperately, add colour with the same colours as I used for the background and some water colour pencils...snip her out. Can you see I also extended her top so that it meets the stitched line.
I stamped and embossed the wings onto vellum using white embossing powder, cut out and fixed to Believe`s back then popped her on the tag.
I stamped words, gave them a stitched edge and placed them on the tag. For the finishing touches I added some doodles to her top and the edges of the tag ... along with a little more detail with a Sparkle and white pen.
I hope I have inspired you to have a go💖

Please show us your projects, we love to see what you make.

You can find the stamps I used in Tracy Easson`s Etsy shop
